If you're on a Medicare Advantage plan and your insurer exits the market, you have a golden opportunity to switch to a Medicare supplement and bypass the health questions that could disqualify you. All you need is a disenrollment letter from your insurer stating that your plan is being non-renewed at no fault of your own.

I recently had a client in this scenario. She tried to get the disenrollment letter from her insurer, but kept getting the runaround to enroll in a different Medicare Advantage plan instead. But that wasn't what she wanted!
